Paracetamol also known as Acetaminophen is used to treat  fever and mild to moderate pain, for example back-ache , head-ache, muscle strains, tooth-ache.it is OTC (over the counter) medicine.

Usage in pregnancy and breast-feeding
Paracetamol/Acetaminophen is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. This medicine is not known to cause any harm to the foetus, but should only be used after consultation with your doctor.
Paracetamol/Acetaminophenl is safe to use during breastfeeding. It is advised to consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
Alcohol consumption
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment , due to the increased risk of serious side effects such as severe gastrointestinal bleeding, dizziness, fatigue, weakness, rashes, nausea, joint pain, fever, jaundice, etc.
